The Liver & It's Work

The liver delivers all the necessary nutrients to all the cells in our bodies, such as, the brain, muscles, tissues, organs, glands, skin, hair & nails, and all other parts that make us human. It is one of the most important organs in our bodies but we don’t give the credit it deserves nor the care that it needs. Most people do not think of their liver when they are experiencing symptoms such as constipation, allergies, high cholesterol, irritable bowel movement, high and low cholesterol, asthma, skin diseases, and rashes. Not knowing these can be associated with a clogged, sluggish, sick, unhealthy, dysfunctioning, ailing, and generally unhappy liver. However, they stem from the liver which is being adversely affected by a poor diet and lifestyle.

The liver is a forgiving organ. Given the right food and nutrition, we can restore its function. Even a damaged liver can be regenerated. It’s all a matter of knowing what to give it and not what to give. At BFL NUTRITION we provide the knowledge you need about what to eat for your liver to do its job better which will lead to an improved function—mentally, emotionally, and physically.

We live in a toxic world therefore the liver needs to be detoxified more than ever before. Where do these toxins come from? Most of us are becoming aware of the increase in environmental toxins, which come from industries. But we also need to be concerned about all the chemicals used in farming, pharmaceutical drugs, chlorination of water, exhaust from vehicles, chemical cleaners, chemicals in paint, in carpets, laminated floors, painted wood, furniture, sprays, etc. There are also toxic chemicals, although seemingly natural, released into the air when there are forest fires and grass fires. When it comes to foods, packaged foods with preservatives are high on the list that adds more problems to the liver. The liver is only designed to replenish itself with “live” foods, so a diet of mainly packaged food only adds to the workload of a liver, which is constantly eliminating toxins. It eliminates the overload through our lungs, skin, kidneys, and bowels so they don’t recirculate through the bloodstream and becomes more toxic, lodging themselves deep into our tissues. Humans have only one liver and we must keep it functioning well in order for our body to detoxify. Since it’s the liver that can detoxify the bloodstream, we must keep our liver happy and we can cleanse it daily by eating specific food and nutrients. Toxins are then easily secreted via the right way, carried through the bile of the bowel, and through the kidneys to the bladder out through the urine.

Through these pathways, we eliminate microorganisms such as parasites, insecticides, food additives, bad fats, artificial fats, pharmaceutical drugs, alcohol, air pollutants, hair dyes,

and cosmetic toxins. Yes, the products we put on our skin to enhance our appearance are toxic as well. if our normal elimination pathways are overloaded, these toxins must then eliminated through the skin, resulting in eczema, acne, rosacea, itchy skin, blemishes, red flushed face, and rashes. A big factor for having an unhealthy liver is emotional stress.
